In his bid to help curb climate change

Alexander Jovy also pledges that his memorial park will plant a tree for each copy sold of his latest blockbuster novel –‘The Girl with the Griffin Bracelet’.

Trees play a vital role in combating climate chaos by removing planet-destroying emissions from the air around us. In the UK just 13% of the UK’s total land area has tree cover, compare this to the EU average – around 35% – and it’s clear that the UK has a lot of catching up to do.

Meanwhile the funeral industry – presently estimated to be worth around £1billion annually in the UK – is currently facing major issues including high costs, fraudulent prepaid funeral plans, high-pressure casket sales and possible challenges to combating environmental pollution at cemeteries.

Visionary Jovy, is at the forefront of a campaign to become an industry disruptor by changing the way we say goodbye to our loved ones and at the same time reducing and offsetting our carbon footprint. His peaceful Woodland Memorial Tree Park in Berkshire Mytree.org.ukis the first of many tree parks he plans to open across the UK. The tree park approach serves as a wonderful funeral alternative and to commiserate or celebrate any occasion, with trees costing as little as £25 to plant.

The author and former Oscar-nominated film director is also currently building the globes first ‘Tree banking’ app. This will enable those eager to do their bit in helping to combat climate change to work towards becoming completely carbon neutral by purchasing newly planted trees etc. to calculate and offset their carbon footprint. Jovy believes passionately in sustaining the environment and suggests that value will very soon be created for ‘Krypto carbon currency’. He aims to spearhead the movement.

The Girl with the Griffin Bracelet is Alexander Jovy’s latest novel. The story of Cyrus the Great and his forbidden love Roxana set in 600’s BC captured the attention of Alexander as they too were visionaries of their time, founding their Persian empire on the principle of religious tolerance. Together they created a society where people of different backgrounds and cultures could live together in peace and harmony. The author pledges that his memorial park will plant a tree for each copy sold of his latest novel.

The book is available from all good book shops and Amazon.
